  • Student Dental Nurse Min rate £8.50 per hour £8.95 for age 23 and over £500 bonus on qualifying
  • Dental Nurse Min rate £9.60 per hour
  • Dental Nurse (2+ years GDC reg) Min rate £9.75 per hour
  • Dental Nurse (4+ years GDC reg) Min rate £9.90 per hour
  • Dental Nurse (6+ years GDC reg) Min rate £10.05 per hour
  • Area Support Nurse (Float Nurse) Min rate £10.20 per hour
  • Advanced Dental Nurse Min rate £10.41 per hour
  • Head Nurse Min rate £10.67 per hour

Student dental nurses

Start your career off right with one of our NEBDN-accredited, 12-month trainee nursing programs. with some of the best nursing training in the sector, we often see pass rates for written and practical exams of 90-95%. We also offer a payment of £500 when you qualify as a nurse with {my}dentist.

Life of a dental nurse at {my}dentist

Life as a Dental Nurse is rewarding, exciting, and challenging in the best way. At {my}dentist, you’ll have the support of your practice team, and our central support teams, to help you succeed.

Daily duties include:

  • Checking patient notes in the morning and setting up surgeries for the day, from checking equipment and disinfecting surfaces to preparing instrument trays.
  • Greeting patients and working with dentists in treatment by providing instruments, or even just chatting with the patients during procedures.
  • Advising patients on consent forms, procedures, and basic oral healthcare post-treatment.
  • Stock-takes and closing down surgeries at the end of the day.
